We are looking for a dynamic Inventory Specialist to come in and join our Warehouse Team at 10x Genomics reporting to the Warehouse Manager. The ideal individual should have a great understanding on how material is received, moved, and shipped within an organization. In this role, the Inventory Specialist will be responsible for performing daily cycle counts, investigating and reconciling inventory discrepancies, and assisting the Logistics Department as needed. The Individual must bring a can-do attitude and sense of purpose to the job, be flexible in changing direction and methods, thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at managing multiple priorities, be able to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and have the prior work experience needed to quickly learn protocols.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform daily cycle counts in our warehouse/3PLs to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Reconcile and perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies
  • Conduct frequent inventory audits of physical inventory
  • Accurately enter data and perform inventory transactions with the ERP system with a high level of detail
  • Retrieve and review expiry reports to segregate/quarantine and scrap excess and obsolete material
  • Collaborate on management of Non Conforming Material including quarantine and disposition of products
  • Review and manage the implementation of Deviations and Engineering Change Orders
  • Monitor, analyze and improve key metrics related to inventory management.
  • Assist in support tasks, projects and initiatives to keep inventory locations secured, organized, and supplied
  • Comply with all company, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain and follow Inventory controls and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and SOX regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Warehouse setting
  • 1-2 years of experience in Inventory Management
  • 1-2 years of experience in data analysis
  • Comprehensive, hands on knowledge of distribution & warehousing processes, inventory control and best practices
  • Must be able to work well in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials up to 50lbs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Google Applications and relevant warehouse management ERP software (Oracle Preferred)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in a Pharma/ Biotech/ Life Science environment

Below is the base pay range for this full time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
