Our well established Medical office office is looking for a qualified office manager. The manager is responsible for day-to-day operations. Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations. This position requires knowledge of healthcare systems operations and medical coding and billing. The main purpose of this position it to ensure a steady workflow and uninterrupted service in our office. ACO experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and oversee admin staff with patient needs
  • Coordinate admin and nursing schedules as needed
  • Answer the phone for billing and insurance questions
  • Check and answer office emails
  • Oversee the medical biller to ensure proper coding and send electronic and paper claims
  • Post electronic and paper EOBs to patients accounts and correct and rebill claims as necessary
  • Run and work monthly insurance A/R
  • Coordinate end-of-day balance and provider distribution
  • Maintain check register and pay office bills · Open and distribute mail
  • Manage patient billing, bad debt accounts and collection accounts
  • Maintain schedule templates for providers for the upcoming year
  • Post job advertisements and interview candidates when necessary
  • Supervise training of new employees · Payroll Management
  • Coordinate with and provide documentation to the accountant for end of month and end of year financials
  • Order office supplies and occasionally medical supplies
  • Act as the social director for birthdays, farewells, and Christmas parties
  • Other duties as necessary to help the team and keep the office running smoothly

Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a medical office manager
  • Knowledge of accounting and administrative processes
  • Knowledge of medical issues and terminology
  • Familiar with medical billing and coding specifically ICD-10 CM and CPT
  • Ability to handle medical records discreetly and comply with HIPPA guidelines
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Communication skills and customer service orientations
