Location: First Coast Family Medicine
Position: Medical Assistant
First Family Medicine is seeking a warm hearted, outgoing Medical Assistant (Care Team Member) to become a part of our growing work family! We are a compassion-driven Family Medicine office that provides high quality medical care. Medical Assistants are a critical part of our team.
Salary will depend on work experience as an Medical Assistant and knowledge of referrals
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work setting: Clinic
Experience: Medical assistant: 2 years (Required)
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care to patients
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff and provider
- Communicate as a Liaison between patient and provider
- Room patients, perform vitals, obtain history and reconcile medications.
- Draw blood EKG and Spirometry
- Assist in procedures
- Answer phones
- Retrieve medical records from out side providers/hosp/ED, etc
- Handle daily tasks in a timely manner
- Knowledge of processing referrals
- Work front desk when needed
- Assist with referrals and Quality measures/Hedis
Qualifications:
- Amazing customer service attitude
- Previous experience in healthcare or other related fields (helpful)
- Knowledge of Athena EMR and Quality Measures/HEDIS a plus
- Strong communication skills and a TEAM PLAYER
- Organizational skills
- Knowledge of Hedis and Quality Measures
- Knowledgeable in obtaining authorizations
- Ability to thrive in a clinical environment
