Position: Medical Assistant

Small private adult primary care practice in the Porters Neck area of Wilmington looking for a fulltime Medical Assistant. Duties include routine patient intake procedures such as room prep, manual blood pressures, O2 sats, pulses, weights, heights, medicine reconciliations, and problem documentation. Assist doctors with patient care such as dressing wounds, PAPs, and minor derm procedures. Complete in-office ECGs, blood draws and administer immunizations. Will help triage patient calls and other front-end jobs as the workload demands. Will need to input lab orders into laboratory systems and assist in calling patients with lab results. Must feel comfortable working with and documenting in an electronic medical record system.
