Position: Nurse Practitioner
Salary: From $40 an hour – Full-time and/or Part-time
Specialties: Internal Medicine, Family Practice and Geriatrics
Available Hours: Weekdays, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Work Setting: Clinic and Nursing Home Rounds
Our office is looking for a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices. The job description of a nurse practitioner includes conducting physical examination, interpreting lab test and overseeing patients’ health. You will be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. You will have to work closely with other health professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem solving skills and communication ability are imperative. Experience:
EMR/HER systems: 1 year (preferred)
Nurse Practitioner: 1 year (preferred)
License: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) (Preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Masters (Required)
  • Work Authorization (Required)
  • Louisiana Nurse Practitioner License

Responsibilities:

  • Examine patients and their medical records.
  • Order and study diagnostic tests (blood test, X-rays etc.)
  • Diagnose and treat health conditions and illnesses.
  • Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
  • Prescribe medications.
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules.
  • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribe medication.
  • Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics, and prevention.
  • Oversee patients’ overall health.
  • Promote good health practices.
  • Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
  • Daily Documentation in EMR/HER

Skills:

  • Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting
  • Experience in primary care, acute care, and chronic care practices
  • Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Ethics
  • Team spirit with a positive attitude
  • Patience and cool headedness
  • Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience.
  • Valid nurse practitioner license
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Aesthetics (not mandatory)
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Telemedicine (not mandatory)
