We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Medical Office Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Office Receptionist will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and performing other front desk duties as needed.
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collect co-payments and other payments from patients
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain patient records and ensure that all forms are completed accurately
- Follow up with patients to confirm appointments and provide reminders
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software programs
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing procedures preferred
