GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE AND DUTIES
The 340B Program Coordinator is a critical role in the pharmacy to support efficient operations and quality patient care. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison and subject matter expert for all 340B-related matters. Responsibilities include development of policies and procedures, provision of ongoing education of team members regarding 340B guidelines, and purchasing/inventory oversight. Additionally, the Coordinator is expected to remain current on 340B policy and routinely monitor the program for compliance with all 340B regulations through regular audits. Responsible for ensuring the annual HRSA recertification is completed within the allotted timeframe and that all information OPAIS is accurate for all organization entities.
This role is focused on continuous quality improvement through the development of program enhancements and optimization. Impact of the program will be routinely reported to document utilization, savings, problem areas and any discrepancies.
Other responsibilities include working as a staff pharmacist as assigned with all associated roles and responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Meets the requirements of the Commonwealth of Virginia for practice as a Registered Pharmacist in Virginia or eligible. Must be licensed by the State of Virginia within 45 days of employment.
  • Completes a pharmacy-based immunization certificate or equivalent, completes Basic Life Support Certification, completes a pharmacy-based contraception certificate. Must be certified within 6 months of employment.
  • Completes the requirement of 340B University or approved equivalent within 6 months of employment.
  • Must possess proficiency in computer operations, demonstrates initiative and ability to function independently, has excellent interpersonal communication skills, and is detailed- orientated, good writing skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Must be able to prioritize, and problem solve.
