This role serves as the technical representative from the Enterprise Systems team to lead in the design of Salesforce-centric solutions, managing a team of 2-4.
We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the U.S. or from our headquarters office in Bethesda, MD.

Primary Duties:

  • Collaborates with Product Managers and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Designs comprehensive, secure technical solutions based on Salesforce best practices and design principles that integrate across the full customer lifecycle, optimized for performance and scalability.
  • Creates comprehensive design artifacts as needed for complex requests - 10%.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for all questions related to Salesforce development and DevOps tools and processes.
  • Leads Salesforce administrators, developers, and data analysts throughout the implementation of solutions to provide guidance as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent working experience.
  • 8+ years of experience working with full-lifecycle Salesforce projects.
  • 3+ years of experience designing Salesforce customizations (Apex/VF), working in an Agile environment, and using Gearset or similar Salesforce DevOps tools.
  • 2+ years of experience designing the technical architecture for complex Salesforce solutions, primarily Sales Cloud but also including Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and CRMA.
  • People Management experience

Preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

  • Experience interacting with senior product owners and Line of Business leaders.
  • Able to effectively communicate to multiple levels within the organization.
  • Strong technical writing skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
