CHAS Medicine is a small (<600 patients) concierge style primary care practice in Lewes, DE that provides comprehensive medical care. We are a small practice that prides ourselves on the relationship and quality care that is provided to our patients. We are looking for an additional team member who has similar professional skills and is looking for a long term career with our practice.

The medical assistant in a primary care physician’s office plays a crucial role in supporting both administrative and clinical functions under the direction of the physician. This position requires a blend of organizational skills, communication abilities, and medical knowledge to ensure the smooth operation of the practice. Ideally, applicants have at least 1 year of quality primary care clinical experience and preferably phlebotomy skills and/or the willingness to learn.

Daily activities may include but are not limited to triaging patients, collecting test samples, performing waived lab testing, maintaining patient records, following up with patients, preparing exam rooms, ordering laboratory tests, giving injections/ immunizations, explaining common medical procedures to patients and assisting in basic examinations. Utilize Accountable Care Organization (ACO) tools to assist patients in accessing high value healthcare.

Requirements:

Medical Assistant Experience
In-depth knowledge of Medical Terminology & Pharmacology
High level of professionalism & teamwork skills
Strong customer service skills & bed-side-manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Administrative, EMR & computer skills
