Barnum Internal Medicine is an established, fast-paced, private internal medicine practice hiring a full-time LPN. This position is responsible for providing nursing care for patients following established standards and practices.

Duties:

Assists providers with coordination of patient care
Obtains medical history and vital signs; documents in patient record
Functions as primary liaison between patients and provider
Prepares equipment and supplies and aids providers during treatment, examination, and testing patients
Educates patients and families regarding diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness
Maintains and reviews electronic patient records
Maintains confidentiality of patient information
Returns patients’ phone calls with provider's answers as directed and returns pharmacy phone calls as directed
Keeps exam rooms ready, clean and stocked for each patient visit
Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Assists with data collection and other ACO related duties

Skills:

Current LPN license
Current CPR certification
Ability to manage time, organize, prioritize and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
Professional and customer/patient focused
HIPPA/privacy/confidentiality knowledge
Infection control and OSHA guidelines
Excellent written and verbal communication via phone and in person
Experience with electronic patient records
