Stark Medical Specialties is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Medicine Biller to join our team. Looking for an individual who has experience in Nextgen or Medent computer software.

Responsibilities:

Daily duties include working the AR and denials.
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for patients.
Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals to ensure maximum reimbursement.
Stay updated on relevant billing regulations and coding guidelines.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of billing and documentation.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in medical billing is preferred
Minimum of [2] years of experience in medical billing, is preferred
Proficient knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Understanding of medical coding systems, such as CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
Payment posting
Charge posting
Knowledge of EOBs
Familiarity with insurance claim forms and reimbursement processes
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
