Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Summary:
Dillman Clinic and Lab is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, working directly with patients and healthcare providers to support the clinic's commitment to excellence in care. The Medical Assistant will provide both clinical and administrative assistance, helping to create a smooth and caring environment for every patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide hands-on assistance with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring the highest standard of care and patient comfort.
- Clinical Support: Perform vital signs assessments, administer injections, prepare laboratory specimens, and assist with minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Patient Communication: Effectively communicate with patients regarding their medical concerns, answering questions, and ensuring they understand care plans and follow-up instructions.
- High-Quality Care Focus: Uphold the clinic’s commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care at all times. Advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Medical Documentation: Accurately record patient history, medical charts, and other essential information using the clinic’s electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Lab Assistance: Assist with laboratory duties, including specimen collection, preparation, and processing.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle patient check-ins, appointment scheduling, and billing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated, team-based approach to patient care.
- Patient Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinic or laboratory setting is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with compassion and professionalism.
