Summer Internship - Practice Health, Aledade FIRST
Aledade
The intern will support the Aledade FIRST (Fostering Independence, Readiness, Sustainability, and Togetherness) program, which helps residents explore pathways into independent primary care and value-based care practice through Aledade partner practices. Working closely with program leadership, the intern will contribute to multiple ongoing program initiatives by conducting targeted research and synthesis on topics relevant to physician career pathways and practice sustainability, assisting with development of educational and communication materials for residents and partner practices, and supporting program operations through data tracking and analysis. The intern will also help organize and summarize insights from resident engagement activities, assist with preparation of program resources, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts as the FIRST program expands to support a growing national cohort of trainees interested in independent practice.
In addition to taking ownership over substantial projects, an Aledade Intern will also:
- Attend meetings with a cohort of other Interns where you will hear from leaders across the company, participate in professional development programming, and touch base with other Interns.
- Gain exposure to senior executives and industry leaders.
- Develop expertise in areas including healthcare policy, programming languages, business operations, Medicare, and commercial payer contracts and clinical workflows.
- Have the opportunity to attend relevant events and trainings in the healthcare field.
The ideal candidate will have prior internship experience, a strong record of academic success and will be:
- Passionate about healthcare and interested in making a positive impact in the field.
- A self-starter who is able to take initiative and ownership of projects.
- A collaborative team player.
- Detail oriented and self-motivated to produce work that meets high standards.
- A pre-med undergraduate student in their junior or senior year, or current medical student
