What you’ll do

Mutual Funds:

  • Responsible for reconciliation and monitoring of trades
  • Ensure selling agreements established as needed
  • Coordinate with the Onboarding Team to ensure stock record of any mutual fund positions can be supported prior to onboarding
  • Ensuring proper capture and recording of dividends paid directly by the fund family
  • Establishing mutual fund cross references when needed
  • Primary contact with transfers team to ensure quick and accurate movement of shares
  • SS&C, Matrix and NSCC daily processing and escalations
  • MF Point of contact with DTCC and NSCC
  • Define business requirements for both mutual fund internal reporting and reconciliation

Fixed Income:

  • Responsible for reconciliation and monitoring settlement of trades with various depositories
  • Point of contact with DTCC, FICC, TRACE, MSRB, BMO Harris
  • Fixed Income Security Master setup maintenance and pricing review
  • Work with Product for trading rules as needed
  • Define KBAs and support Customer Success as needed
  • Support advisor escalations and perform advisor outbound calls when necessary
  • Validate trade confirmation and statement output for compliance
  • Resolution of trade posting exceptions
  • Responsible for insuring Altruist meets intraday and close of day financial demands from clearing corps
  • Responsible for proper cancellation, correction, rebooking, fail clean ups, and recording trades into uncleared suspense accounts or other accounts that aren’t affirmed/confirmed
  • Monitors and controls failures to meet intraday and close of day financial demands from clearing corps
  • Other inter-company account reconciliations
  • Reconciliation breaks; the escalation/discussion process between control groups
  • Suspense accounts monitoring and resolution
  • Access control for order entry and corrections
  • Propose amendment to business rules or internal controls as needed

What you’ll need

  • FINRA Series 7 and 24 (other licensing may be needed over time, including Series 4, 63/66, and 27)
  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on financial operations experience at a self clearing broker dealer
  • Expertise with financial products (e.g., fixed income, equities, mutual funds)
  • Proficient in FINRA, DTCC, NSCC, FICC, TRACE, and MSRB
  • Proficiency with FIS Phase3 (preferred)
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and a deep empathy for our customers
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Proven track record of outperforming benchmarks and achieving goals
  • Excellent analytical, research, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to easily convey complex matters in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Strong understanding of securities trading processes and applicable securities laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology to enhance business processes
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact persuasively with marketing, customer success, operations, product, design and engineering teams

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs). A salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, internal pay equity, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
