About the position

If you're passionate about your craft and looking for an opportunity to make meaningful contributions toward our mission, we’d love to have you join us! As a Data Operations Specialist, you’ll be joining the Data Operations Team as the domain expert working closely with Data Operations Engineers and Analysts to review and enhance Altruist brokerage data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Additionally, you’ll fulfill key operational responsibilities such as ensuring our data is compatible with our third party custodial integrations and handling data corrections, as needed.

What you’ll do

  • Handle data operation requests such as onboarding and offboarding custodial integrations for firms through data operations tooling
  • Identify, standardize, and implement process and feature enhancements to ensure data consistency and compatibility with upstream and downstream consumers of the Data Platform
  • Work with the Altruist Brokerage Support Team and Customer Support Teams to triage, troubleshoot and resolve any underlying data issues
  • Investigate, assess, and correct issues identified through data operations monitors, tools and break reports
  • Partner with our in-house Operations Team to ensure data within the data platform is consistent and aligned with the Clearing books and records system
  • Work with Data Operations Engineers to define data monitors and tooling that will enable automated and efficient workflows for the Data Operations Team
  • Determine accurate dimensional table mappings for vendor data transformed to the Altruist canonical models and the appropriate way to represent data for specific actions
  • Serve as a liaison with Altruist external custodial partners in order to handle issues such as delayed files or inconsistent data received in our custodial data feeds
  • Respond to data domain questions from advisors and the larger Data Operations Team
  • Develop and maintain documentation on data operation processes

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years working in the financial industry in an analyst or operations role
  • 2+ years of data analysis experience using intermediate to advanced SQL (i.e. comfortable with joins, data grouping and aggregation, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of and prior experience with managing custodial integrations and troubleshooting investment returns (TWR/IRR), account reconciliation, cost basis issues, discrepancies with holdings, corporate action processing and security pricing issues.
  • Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to improve data quality and consistency

$124,000$158,000 USD

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs).
