As Altruist enters an expansion phase for our revolutionary product offering, we’re seeking an
experienced Trade Surveillance Senior Analyst Financial Crime Specialist to join our Compliance Team.
In your role as a Trade Surveillance Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our
operations' financial integrity. You’ll employ cutting-edge technologies and your in-depth knowledge of the
industry to analyze and identify suspicious trading activity, ensuring adherence to market regulations.

What you’ll do

  • Be an integral part of a larger compliance team responsible for regulatory compliance of our FINRA-member broker-dealer and SEC-registered investment adviser.
  • Carry out detailed surveillance of trading activities and transactions, identifying any suspicious patterns or behaviors.
  • Perform comprehensive investigations on any potentially non-compliant trades.
  • Record and report findings, providing in-depth analysis on noticed trends and risk areas.
  • Assist in the development, tuning and optimization of surveillance systems and procedures.
  • Coordinate cooperatively with the compliance and legal teams to address concerns about compliance and regulatory issues.
  • Regularly monitor and understand the current market conditions, regulations, and changes.
  • Participate in the regular, annual, and ad-hoc testing and monitoring of Trade Surveillance policies and procedures of Altruist’s multiple regulated entities, including its broker-dealer and registered investment adviser.
  • Contribute to examinations with regulatory agencies as requested.
  • Assist in various other compliance needs ad hoc projects and tasks as necessary.
  • Conduct other related tasks to support compliance surveillance, monitoring and testing.

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years of experience in trade surveillance and regulatory compliance for a FINRA-member broker-dealer and/or registered investment adviser.
  • A profound understanding of FINRA and SEC rules and regulations, trading systems, financial market regulations, and compliance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations, and industry leading practices.
  • High degree of initiative and personal responsibility to anticipate issues, find solutions, and drive resolution.
  • Attention to detail with ability to execute in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, organizational and writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field/ equivalent experience.
  • FINRA Series 7, 66 or 63
