Role Overview:

As a Product Management Intern on the Trading, Portfolio Management, or Rebalancing teams at Altruist, you will gain hands-on experience in driving product innovation for a key area of our business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, operations, and compliance, to develop and enhance features that streamline trading workflows, improve portfolio management capabilities, and ensure efficient rebalancing. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the financial services industry while working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in defining and refining the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for trading, portfolio management, and rebalancing features.
  • Work closely with product managers to conduct market research, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to ensure successful product development, testing, and deployment.
  • Support product launch activities, including user documentation, training materials, and client communication.
  • Analyze data and user behavior to assess the impact of new product features and identify areas for further optimization.
  • Assist in creating detailed product requirement documents (PRDs) and user stories to guide the development process.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Provide support in user acceptance testing (UAT) and help ensure product quality and reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in financial services, particularly in the wealth management, FinTech or WealthTech space.
  • Basic understanding of product management principles, agile development methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a keen ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management software is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to innovative solutions in the fintech space.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

    • Basic understanding of financial markets, investment products, and custodial services is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on user experience and product quality.
    • Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python is an advantage.

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs). A salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, internal pay equity, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
