Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and assistive device training.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on techniques to improve functional skills and independence.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and interventions.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control guidelines to protect both patients and healthcare workers.
Requirements:
- Certification: Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or rehab required.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Professionalism: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to providing quality care.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to visit patients in their homes.
