Job Description Summary
Master Data Expert support the Novartis Technical Operations Center– Supply Operations team in the coordination of various Supply Operations activities in Bring precision, purpose, and impact to the heart of Novartis’ global supply network. As a Supply Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials that power manufacturing and patient delivery worldwide. Working at the intersection of planning, logistics, master data, and order fulfillment, you will help ensure materials arrive at the right place, at the right time, and in full compliance with Good Practice and regulatory standards. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across sites and functions, influence supply performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that directly support Novartis’ mission to reimagine medicine.#LI-Onsite

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure end-to-end material availability aligned with approved production plans and global supply priorities
• Execute material planning and daily requirements planning oversight to prevent shortages, delays, and past-due purchase orders
• Maintain Good Practice-compliant master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across enterprise systems
• Manage logistics, warehouse, and distribution activities in compliance with supply chain policies and regulatory requirements
• Monitor supplier performance, including quality, on-time delivery, and lead-time adherence, driving corrective actions
• Coordinate intercompany order fulfillment, including order changes, invoicing, returns, and issue resolution
• Act as single point of contact for assigned sites and internal customers, ensuring timely communication and escalation
• Drive inventory optimization and cost-efficiency initiatives while maintaining appropriate safety stock levels
• Lead and support continuous improvement projects across planning, logistics, and supply processes
• Ensure timely reporting of technical complaints, adverse events, and special case scenarios within required timelines
Essential Requirements
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment supporting supply chain, planning, or logistics operations
• Proven experience in material planning, inventory management, or order management within a regulated environment
• Strong working knowledge of Good Practice requirements and regulatory compliance standards
• Hands-on experience using enterprise resource planning systems for planning, purchasing, and master data management
• Ability to analyze material requirements, manage exceptions, and resolve supply issues proactively
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across sites, functions, and geographies
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and support operational execution
• Strong communication skills with the ability to act as a reliable point of contact for internal customers
Novartis Compensation Summary
The salary for this position is expected to range between $85,400 and $158,600 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a generous time-off package including vacation, personal days, holidays, and other leaves.
