The Brand Manager is accountable for translating International and Regional Therapeutic Area strategy into locally relevant brand plans and executing them to deliver sustainable growth, market share, and patient impact for assigned brands. The role leverages local insights to optimize the marketing mix across the brand lifecycle and works cross-functionally to ensure effective, compliant execution in line with Novartis values and ethics.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end responsibility for assigned brands across their lifecycle, including strategy, planning, execution, and performance optimization.
Translate International brand strategy into a locally relevant brand plan with clear objectives, prioritized target audiences, key messages, and omnichannel execution focus.
Design and execute integrated omnichannel campaigns, optimizing the marketing mix and continuously monitoring impact and ROI.
Define customer segmentation and prioritization and orchestrate ICE-aligned omnichannel customer journeys in collaboration with Sales and cross-functional partners.
Deliver brand sales, market share, and growth objectives through robust forecasting, demand planning, and budget management.
Lead local launch strategy and execution for new products, ensuring launch readiness and post-launch optimization.
Generate and apply insights from market research, customer engagement, and performance data to continuously refine strategy and tactics.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Medical, Value & Access, and other partners to ensure aligned and high-quality execution.
Manage agencies and external partners to deliver high-quality, compliant brand initiatives and content reuse targets.
Ensure all brand activities comply with Novartis policies, SOPs, governance standards, and ethical requirements.
Requirements:
University degree in life sciences, marketing, business, or a related field; fluency in English and local language; relevant industry experience.
Proven experience in pharmaceutical brand management or marketing roles.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical markets, healthcare systems, and customer dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective brand strategies and tactical plans.
Experience with omnichannel marketing and campaign execution.
Strong financial acumen including forecasting and brand budget management.
Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration in a matrix environment.
Strong strategic, analytical, and data-driven mindset with ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
Experience leveraging digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance marketing effectiveness.
