Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial data and supporting the broader accounting functions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end closing process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, including vendor payments and customer invoicing.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Audit Support: Prepare and provide documentation for internal and external audits
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department and contribute to their implementation.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and analyses as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Uses time effectively and efficiently and must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Organized, flexible and of good moral character.
  • Computer literate and must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting/Finance or international equivalent.
  • Preferably with 2-4 years experience specializing in General Accounting, Fiance or equivalent.
  • Has high personal standards of honesty and integrity and lives by the organization’s high standards.
  • CPA or CPA candidacy is a plus but not required.
