The Marketing Generalist is responsible for general marketing duties as assigned by the Go to Market leadership team. Duties will fall in these general categories: Demand Generation, Document Creation, Graphic Design, Video Production, Event Coordination and Management, Social Media Representation, Industry Trade Publication Relationship Management, and other marketing duties as assigned. The marketing generalist is required to have a basic understanding of all of the general categories but may be tasked with going outside the organization to contract with experts in various fields.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Collaboration with various team members to ensure trade show and networking event success, including but not limited to:
    • Scheduling and facilitating pre-event meetings with relevant team members to review the needs of the event including pre-event invites and publicity, documentation of resources required (“give aways,” booth and meeting room requirements etc).
    • Creating a schedule and documentation for the team that will be attending each event as well as coordinating post-event debriefs for determination of return on investment of the event and documentation of successes.
    • Attending events as needed and providing coordination of activities and guests
  • Ensuring that all requirements for an event have been documented and a plan for successful execution has been established.
  • Writing and delivering compelling copy for various mediums of publication including internal documentation (product documents, proposals, powerpoint presentation decks, etc), ads (radio, television, and digital), newsletters (internal and external), blog posts, social media platforms, and technology magazine publications (as needed) and other various forms of written outlets.
  • Research through collaboration with various departments to develop engaging content that will ultimately reflect the company’s voice for distribution to the public
  • Planning and executing written case studies and written/video testimonials.
  • Researching competitive positioning to determine how to message value proposition in a favorable light.
  • Administration of Hubspot to maximize value.
  • Ensure that developed content is within the creative and technical direction of the company’s sales, marketing, and product strategies in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development.
  • Demand generation and drip marketing campaigns to existing customers and new prospects.
  • Following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines and safety, at all times;
  • Performing any miscellaneous duties as needed.

The right person for this role will have…

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of college publication or professional writing experience (must included writing portfolio- can include campus work or internships)
  • Exceptional writing and research
  • Experience in coordinating events or meetings
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Products
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Hubspot
  • Should be willing to travel up to 25% as needed.

Work Arrangement
This is a remote position based in the United States.
