The BD Support Specialist will own several processes to assist in delivering Canada Life products to the market, act as a liaison between the Canadian field offices and the client to investigate and gather information, and complete specific assignments and specialized tasks such as; broker commissions, report creation, and other various administrative duties with the aim of being an extension of a Canadian field office. This role represents a combination of the Sales Support Specialist (SSA) and Service Support Specialist (SSA) roles in GLH and GRS.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Contribute to overall productivity, by maximizing efficiency and productive delivery of customer service This includes tracking / completing requests, ensure follow ups are responded to, proactively identify, and resolve issues, provide suggestions on how we can make improvements and use all available tools to provide timely, accurate execution and delivery of overall service.
• Develop a strong competency of our systems and processes.
• Work collaboratively with Canadian field offices, advisors, clients (plan sponsors) and head office departments to deliver Canada Life products to the market.
• Act as a liaison between our Canadian field offices, advisors, clients and head office departments to investigate and gather missing information.
• Provide other administrative support as needed (such as such as; broker commissions, report creation for clients and advisors, and other various administrative duties) to enhance the client experience, contributing to an efficient, energized team
• Provide back-up support to other positions on the team as required.
• This role will interact with Canadian field offices, advisors, clients (plan sponsors) and head office departments to deliver Canada Life products to the market.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or appropriate experience
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Banking/Financial Services/Operations.
• Proficient in using Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe; aptitude for learning new technologies.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and expectations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective communicator in the English language with a particular emphasis on written communication. Responds promptly to requests; tact, courteous, and patient in all communications internally and externally.
• Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail with an analytical approach
