As a Senior Taxation Analyst, you will be responsible for the preparation of state income tax calculations and related filings for assigned entities. The role is also responsible for state tax accruals, coordinating and responding to tax controversy matters, including federal and state tax examinations and notice responses, assisting with insurance tax, and documenting significant tax positions. The role will require coordination and communication with other departments across the business.


What you will do:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual federal and state income or equivalent and indirect tax calculations and related tax filings

  • Prepare state tax accruals under multiple accounting bases, including IFRS and, as applicable, either on a US GAAP or insurance statutory accounting basis

  • Prepare required financial statement analytics

  • Manage federal and state tax examination and notice responses, including tracking, response research, coordination, and formulation

  • Document significant tax positions and prepare work-papers supporting tax filings and income tax accruals

  • Assist in the budgeting and preparation of tax related financial projections

  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments across the business and with external auditors and service providers

  • Manage and track tax payments and refunds

  • Ad hoc tax research and documentation


What you will bring:

  • Bachelors of Science (or equivalent) in Accounting and/or Masters in Taxation

  • 2 years of tax return compliance

  • 1 year of experience in accounting for income taxes (either IFRS or US GAAP)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Execution orientated; results driven cross-functional approach

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Base Salary Range

$72,900.00 - $102,900.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
