The Sr. Financial Advisor – Wealth Management (DTC) with Empower works with mainly prospects who are not yet Empower customers to ignite a plan to meet financial goals, consolidate assets with Empower and ultimately become an Empower retail investment client. The Advisor utilizes proper licensing, certifications, and industry leading financial tools to develop a deep understanding of prospects and provide solutions to improve their financial outlook. A successful Advisor effectively delivers excellent conversations with prospects regarding benefits of consolidating accounts to meet their financial goals. Results are measured by successful consolidation of outside accounts. Many of these conversations are scheduled by a team of associate advisors allowing the Advisor to spend the majority of their conversations giving direct recommendations and having impactful educational conversations.

What You Will Do:

  • Cultivate mass-affluent relationships by prudently addressing prospect needs, while maximizing the use of Empower products and service benefits available.
  • Drive scheduled appointments that require one to uncover outside asset opportunities, close on the outside opportunities identified, and seamlessly quarterback the onboarding of outside assets.
  • Deliver on goal-based targets to earn incentive compensation.
  • Demonstrate holistic knowledge of goal-based planning by presenting solutions for all types of savings goals, including education planning, retirement planning, and other intermediate to long-term savings goal planning.
  • Implement Empower’s conversation model and interactive planning tools to identify participant needs and deliver on appropriate next steps.
  • Govern the process (using SalesForce CRM) to document conversations, follow up appropriately with clients in the processes of bringing over accounts, and effectively follow up on opportunities not yet closed.
  • Other duties as assigned which may involve some or all of the following: staff meetings, product seminars/training, meeting all federal and state requirements as they pertain to securities and insurance regulations etc., in support of strategic department and firm initiatives.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
  • 3+ years of financial industry experience with demonstrated success in exceeding goals.
  • FINRA Series 65 required (or CFP®); FINRA fingerprinting required
  • In-depth understanding of retail investment vehicles and investment account types.
  • Expert, current knowledge of industry-wide investment products and services.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills.
  • Proven track record with influencing prospects and clients in the investment services industry.
  • Excellent operational, organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage and execute personalized, multi-step process for high-volume asset growth funnel.
  • Ability to work at both the tactical and strategic level.

Base Salary Range

$70,000.00 - $92,500.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
