About the Opportunity
The Manager of People Operations is a crucial management role on our People Experience team, responsible for leading and managing a global PX Operations team to deliver high-quality, efficient, and effective HR services to the organization. This role involves overseeing various HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, employee records management, HR systems, and employee inquiries. The Manager will ensure that all HR processes and transactions are executed accurately, timely, and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. This role will also focus on continuous improvement of HR processes and the implementation of HR technology solutions to enhance service delivery.
You will manage a team of three, and work in close collaboration with all members of the People Experience team, as well as members of the Legal, IT, and Finance teams. This role is based in Portugal.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the PX Operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Set performance goals and objectives for the team, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage team workload to meet service delivery standards.
- Service Delivery:
- Oversee the delivery of global HR services, including the candidate experience, new hire set-up and onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, employee records management, immigration and mobility, and general support to all HR domains.
- Ensure all HR transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in service delivery.
- Participate in cross-functional PX project.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within PX.
- Lead and manage HR projects aimed at enhancing service delivery, including the implementation of new HR technologies and systems.
- Monitor and analyze service delivery metrics and KPIs to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage internal and external audits related to HR processes and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure data privacy and security.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, IT, Finance, and other departments.
- Act as a point of contact for escalated employee inquiries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Communicate HR policies, procedures, and updates to employees and management.
You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:
- Extensive knowledge of global HR operations, preferably the US and within several EMEA countries including Portugal
- Experience in managing small teams with big impact
- Building and scaling processes is no secret to you
- You have very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English is a must: you will be collaborating with your manager and other leaders based in the US
- Demonstrated project management and leadership skills: ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize accordingly
- Excellent organization and problem solving skills with attention to detail and completeness
- Ability to work independently & in a team environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across an organization: you are a team player with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to protect confidential and proprietary information, setting professional boundaries as needed.
