We are searching for the best talent for Quality Engineering Intern to be in Santa Clara, CA.

  • The Intern term is from June to August, 2026.
  • Full time requirement (40 hours per week).

Purpose:

The Quality Engineering Intern will participate and learn about the basics of Quality processes and procedures. Under the guidance of the Hiring Manager and Mentoring Engineers, the intern will assist in Operating/Calibrating equipment, perform component testing, data analysis, and testing methodology.

You will be responsible:

  • Maintain Assist in complaint/device failure investigation process.
  • Observe Product testing and map it to Risk Index.
  • Design, document, and maintain visual process flow charts for essential workflows to ensure operational efficiency and transparency.
  • Identify bottlenecks in existing workflows and propose optimized solutions through detailed process mapping.
  • Ensure Test Method document is accurate and matches physical testing.
  • Learn to operate test equipment (e.g. vision measurement, burst tester and tensile testing equipment).
  • Learn to perform component inspection, data collection and analysis methods.
  • Draft Test Method Validation (TMV) Protocols and execute the TMV protocols and draft reports.
  • Ensure the Quality System procedures match the implemented software module.
  • Observe supply chain and inventory practices and ensure they match relevant procedures.
  • Learn basics of Document Control/Change Management and assist in revising procedures to align Quality process and procedures.
  • Assist in qualifying equipment calibration and maintenance software.
  • J&J Credo: Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering fields.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Operate as a team or independently with management guidance.

Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

The expected pay range for this position is between $26.50 per hour and $59.00 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
