Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Production Planner I to join our team located in Shockwave Medical Costa Rica.
Position Overview
The Planner I is responsible for supporting production and/or supply planning activities to ensure timely availability of materials and products, while maintaining inventory levels and meeting customer demand requirements.
Essential Job Functions
Assist in developing and maintaining production plans based on demand.
Conduct capacity analysis to ensure proper visibility and provide guidance on required production lines and volume based on inputs from the operations team.
Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excess stock.
Generate planning reports.
Support root cause analysis to identify service risks and perform mitigation actions.
Support and follow up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
Coordinate with manufacturing and logistics teams to ensure alignment.
Follow up on Open orders and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate planning data and master data integrity
Complete various transactions into ERP as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or advanced student in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
0 – 1 year experience in manufacturing operations and/or supply chain; prior experience in a regulated environment (i.e. medical device, pharmaceutical) preferred.
Ability to work with diversified supplier base and high-mix production environment.
Cost accounting understanding/experience.
Strong team player capable of working individually as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Ability to build relationships at all levels within the internal organization and external suppliers / vendors.
Working knowledge of quality system requirements and compliance (e.g. traceability, QSRs, ISO, MDD requirements) preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
