Simbe’s Receptionist is a full-time in-office position working for a fast-growing Silicon Valley-backed technology company. The Receptionist will be the first person to greet customers, investors, partners, employees, and other visitors when they visit Simbe’s headquarters. The Receptionist will keep the workspace welcoming and coordinate activities for the office.
Core responsibilities: Greet and welcome guests when they arrive at the office. Coordinate office guest arrivals for office-related activities—direct visitors to the appropriate person and office. Ensure the office is tidy and presentable. Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/ email. Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and packages. Maintain office security by controlling access via the reception desk. Order office supplies and snacks and keep an inventory of stock. Update calendars highlighting when important office visitors are expected. Contact a handyman or professional contractor if office-related work is needed. Enter basic data into spreadsheets as required. Coordinate parking for visitors as needed. Help to plan and manage in-office events. Coordinate and track company swag and gifts. Manage employee in-office lunch program. Manage office cleaning crew/schedule. Coordinate insurance walk-throughs of the office. Perform other clerical receptionist duties as needed. Drop outgoing packages at FedEx or USPS periodically as required. Restock the kitchen areas regularly.
Qualifications: Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role. Proficiency in Google Docs. Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., printers). Professional attitude and appearance. Strong interpersonal skills and customer service attitude. Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise. Excellent organizational skills. High school diploma.
On-site: 5 days per week starting at 8:30 a.m. (M-F). Location: South San Francisco, CA
