Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join our Business Systems team. This individual will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements while maintaining high performance and scalability. As a critical member of the team, the Salesforce Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering and operations, to drive continuous improvements and innovative solutions on the Salesforce platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Lead the technical design, development and implementation of customized Salesforce solutions including custom objects, triggers, Apex code, Lightning Web components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Systems integration: Work on integrating Salesforce with external systems (APIs, web services) and ensure smooth data flow between systems.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate those into scalable technical solutions.
  • Optimization: Identify and recommend optimizations to improve platform performance and user experience.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of the Salesforce solutions through code reviews, unit testing and following best development practices.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support to ensure the stability and performance of the Salesforce environment.
  • Project Management (Planning & Execution): Effectively plan, execute, and manage Salesforce development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and proactively addressing risks or blockers during execution.
  • Communication: Proactively communicate progress, issues, and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and collaboration throughout the development lifecycle.

What you will bring to SmithRx:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture, including Apex, SOQL, SOSL and Lightning Web Components.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications are required.
  • Experience with Salesforce declarative tools (flows etc.) is required
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture and components.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining custom Salesforce applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools and web services.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce security models (profiles, permission sets, roles).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce DX.
  • Knowledge of Business Systems processes and supporting operational teams within Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud.
