As a Virtual Pharmacy Technician at Virta Health, you will provide essential clinical and operational support to the pharmacy enablement team. You’ll manage prescription workflows, coordinate care with RNs, providers, and coaches, and ensure all member-facing processes are handled accurately and efficiently. This role is foundational to supporting Virta’s clinical operations and delivering excellent member experiences.
Responsibilities
Medication & Clinical Support
Apply medication knowledge to ensure accuracy in processing prescriptions, refills, and prior authorizations.
Identify and escalate potential prescribing or workflow issues to senior team members as needed.
Care Coordination
Collaborate with RNs, providers, and coaches to coordinate care and resolve member issues.
Communicate updates clearly and document all activities accurately within established systems.
Workflow Execution
Process clinical tickets promptly and accurately, routing faxes, labs, and records appropriately.
Follow established SOPs to maintain consistency and compliance.
Support efficiency and quality improvement initiatives under senior guidance.
Team & Operational Support
Provide dependable support to clinical staff for both routine and urgent requests.
Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and ongoing training opportunities.
Must-Haves
Education
Pharmacy Technician Certification or equivalent training required.
Experience
1–2 years of experience in pharmacy operations or telehealth support preferred.
Skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with e-prescribing tools, medical records systems, and communication platforms.
Demonstrates a proactive use of AI tools to improve individual output and efficiency.
Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation is $22/hr. Information about Virta’s benefits is on our Careers page at: https://www.virtahealth.com/careers.
