A Brief Overview
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for planning, conducting, and delivering the analysis and requirements to solve highly sophisticated business problems through strategic technology solutions. The Business Systems Analyst delivers business and system requirements for technology solutions and works directly with individuals from various functions and levels within the organization.

What you will do

  • Performs gap analysis of current (as-is) and new (to-be) business processes
  • Identifies effective solutions for business software system issues
  • Performs data profiling and data quality analysis
  • Reports common patterns, questions, and other issues to management
  • Recommends solutions for improving and restructuring company procedures
  • Translate functional requirements and business use cases into technical specifications
  • Assesses company performance, information, and plans by conducting regular tests and analysis
  • Monitors company systems status and report any progress or changes
  • Provide feature education / training to key business groups to raise awareness / adoption of released capabilities

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 2+ years experience in a Business or System Analyst role in the information technology field or equivalent combination of experience
  • Typically 2+ years preparing as-is process documentation, to-be process documentation, and performing detailed gap analysis

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills strongly desired.
  • Strong Communication and collaboration skills. Works well in a team environment where team members may be distributed.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace strongly desired.
  • Hands-on, extensive experience with requirements analysis, solution design, and/or project management across diverse applications including Enterprise workflow and integration.
  • Demonstrated Capability Roadmap and Enterprise-level Service-Oriented Architecture Articulation and Implementation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business objectives and requirements and convert them into solution designs and/or project plans strongly desired.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis™ (CCBATM) preferred
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
