As an Account Manager you will be joining a successful APAC Government team and bring your outstanding ability to understand clients needs in crisis and emergency response, open source information technology, analytics and cyber security to provide global leading AI based Event Alerting solutions. You will be responsible for the management and growth of key clients across multiple regions.

This is a hybrid role which will ideally be based in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne (in order of preference).

The opportunity

  • Manage, develop, and support a portfolio of high-profile accounts with a focus on renewal and sales opportunities including upsell and expansion options with your existing accounts

  • Be an expert on Dataminr’s platform and develop a deep understanding of publicly available information, social media analytics and cyber security use cases to deliver standout demonstrations

  • Understand each customer’s mission and operational process in order to design and implement the programs that seamlessly integrate Dataminr into their workflow

  • Develop an understanding of customer use cases, internal decision making nuances, budget cycles and other key information necessary to win new business

  • Partner with cross company teams to drive product adoption, renewal and customer satisfaction by bringing value to our customers every day

  • Attend various industry events, trade shows and focused symposiums to drive uptake by new clients and expansion/upsells, increase brand awareness and value proposition

What you bring

  • 5+ years of enterprise software or SaaS account management or sales experience to public sector clients

  • Cyber Security technology selling experience will be highly valued but not essential

  • Deep understanding of sales process and business drivers for new clients

  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with an emphasis on communicating both orally and in writing with senior leaders and decision makers

  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically as needed, approx. 25-50% of the time on a quarterly basis
