About You

• You think of the user first. For you, programming isn’t just about closing a ticket or completing a feature; It’s a love song to your users. When you start a project and when you end a project, you think and care about how this feature will impact their life for better or worse on a daily basis.

• You love crafting interfaces out of code. Taking raw ideas and building great products in code makes your day. You understand JavaScript’s benefits and challenges, but you genuinely enjoy coding with it. You're passionate about building fluid interfaces that get out of the way and help accelerate what the user is trying to accomplish rather than slow it down.

• You are collaborative. You're a team player who puts the interest of the team above your own. You display a positive attitude, are open, and enjoy contributing. You feel that the team that surrounds you is just as important as the skills you cultivate.

• You’re always learning new things. You’re a self-starter who loves researching the latest Angular release or maybe just learning about the 152nd new JavaScript framework. Your focus is on front-end JavaScript code, but you’re happy to dig in wherever needed. If you don’t already know it, you’re ready to learn it.

• You hit the ground running. We aim to move at a quick yet sustainable pace. We are a growing team and company with lots of customers waiting for the best new features you’ll help build.

The opportunity

• Build reactive, reusable Angular components (using TypeScript, HTML, and LESS) that enable us to build better and faster, with fewer bugs

• Prototype new features in collaboration with our designers and UX engineers

• Build services that connect to RESTful APIs, sending and receiving data, utilizing RxJs to its full potential to create reactive streams that minimize bugs and reduce cognitive load

• Review code written by other team members or other teams

• Help put tools, processes, and documentation in place to improve our code quality

• Work closely with our product, backend, and QA teams to ensure that we’re building fluid experiences that meet customer needs

• Write Unit Tests with Karma/Jasmine alongside the feature you are building to help prevent future regressions

• Research, inform, and execute front-end architecture changes

• Keep up with the latest Angular framework improvements and how they can impact the way we build Dataminr

• Share what you know and learn either one-on-one or as part of our monthly First Friday Workshops

• Measure and resolve performance bottlenecks, using tools like Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, WebPagetest, or custom tooling

• You will join an established, high-performance team, based in Romania

• You will work with US-based colleagues, while also functioning as part of an autonomous team in Romania

• We follow the Agile software delivery methodology

Required Skills

• 2-3+ years of proven experience as an Angular Developer

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and Typescript

• A practical understanding of common design patterns

• Comfortable with version control systems, branching, merging, rollback, etc. (Git preferred)

• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

• Knowledge of secure software development practices

• Unit-testing experience

• Experience working in an Agile team-driven process

Desired Skills

• Experience writing highly reactive code using RxJS

• Experience with Angular 19+, Signals, and Standalone Component

• Experience working with, and maintaining and Component Library

• Experience working remotely, especially within a global team
