We are seeking a creative and motivated Scientist, Gene Editor/Protein Engineering to join our Discovery group and help us create the next generation of in vivo genetic medicines. What You'll Do:

  • Lead technical innovation to maximize the potential of Kelonia's iGPS technology.
  • Design, execute, interpret, and troubleshoot experiments to validate novel technologies in vitro and develop associated analytics pipelines (experimental and/or computational).
  • Collaborate closely with Molecular Virologists, In Vivo Pharmacologists, Technical Development & Operations, and other experts to efficiently implement and understand innovative technologies.
  • Translate complex scientific concepts into clear communications for the interdisciplinary team and stakeholders.
  • Author research reports, protocols, and electronic lab notebooks to support IP and regulatory filings.

What You'll Bring

  • PHD with 0-3 years of experience in bioengineering, gene editing, protein engineering, virology, synthetic biology, or related fields. PhD, and non-PhD candidates encouraged to apply (level based on experience).
  • Proficiency in molecular biology, gene editing, next-generation sequencing (NGS) and analysis, mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, and qPCR.
  • Additional skills such as high-throughput screening, insertion site analysis, and lentiviral vector engineering are beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, capable of managing multiple workstreams to meet internal deadlines and goals.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and exploring innovative technologies, driven by the desire to make a meaningful impact for patients.
