In this role you will support day to day medical monitoring, clinical development, data science, and pharmacovigilance for lead programs as well as future indications. What You'll Do:
- Provide medical and scientific leadership for the company’s oncology programs, ensuring alignment with clinical development goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, regulatory, clinical operations, and biometrics/data management) to develop and implement translational strategies that bridge preclinical findings to clinical applications.
- Lead the design, review, and oversight of clinical trials to evaluate drug candidates' efficacy, safety, and pharmacodynamics.
- Contribute to regulatory documents (e.g., IND filings) by providing scientific and medical input, ensuring the successful transition from preclinical to clinical stages.
- Analyze and interpret clinical and correlative data to inform decision-making regarding the progression of clinical programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with external KOLs, academic institutions, and clinical trial sites to support future clinical trial design and execution.
- Offer clinical perspectives on drug development, including safety, efficacy, and patient selection strategies.
- Contribute to the overall company strategy by providing insights into trends and opportunities within the biotech landscape.
What You'll Bring:
- MD or equivalent medical degree with a focus on oncology, hematology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in oncology drug development, including early clinical-stage experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
- Experience with immune-oncology therapies, CAR-T, gene therapy, or other advanced oncology modalities.
- Prior experience with IND filings and regulatory submissions preferred.
- Strong understanding of tumor biology, immuno-oncology, targeted therapies, or other relevant areas in cancer treatment.
- Experience with translational research and the regulatory requirements for transitioning compounds from preclinical to clinical development.
- Ability to interpret complex scientific data and communicate findings effectively to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
- Established network with oncology KOLs and clinical investigators.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative biotech environment.
